“My Body Is a Temple” is a limited edition series featuring 30 hand-built ceramic sculptures created during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This series was created in response to a recent diagnosis for the artist’s on-going battle with a severe form of Degenerative Joint Disease. Using low-fire paper, clay and a mid-range stoneware, the Ross over-fires her work to encourage spontaneous slumping and the occasional collapse. These works were inspired by real structures seen in Eastern Kansas and Southern Missouri but are not necessarily replicas of said buildings. The sculptures are listed in chronological order - all works are sold.
